Check these first
| Where | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Billing and payments | The payment, its status and the date |
| Payment activity | A pending or failed line for the same amount |
| Your bank or wallet | Whether the money left, and the reference number |
| The receipt email | Which ad account ID it was paid to |
Steps
- Confirm the payment went to the right ad account ID, not another account you manage.
- Check whether the method is one that posts later, such as a bank transfer or local payment option.
- Wait out the posting time the method states before paying again.
- Get the transaction reference from your bank or payment provider.
- If the payment is still missing, contact Meta's billing support from the ad account and give the reference, date, amount and ad account ID.
Avoid paying twice
A second payment while the first is still posting can leave you with a balance you did not plan for. Wait for the first one to settle or fail before you try again.
When ads stay off
If the balance shows as paid and ads still do not run, the cause may be something other than the payment. Check Account Quality for a restriction on the ad account.
