Meta can ask for tax details such as a tax ID or VAT number for billing in some countries. If the request blocks payment or ads, complete it with details that match your business registration and the name on the account.

What matches

The legal business name as registered.
The tax ID or VAT number for the country shown.
The billing address in the business portfolio.

Steps

Open the billing settings and find the tax section.
Enter the number exactly as issued.
Save, then check that the notice clears.
If an error appears, check the number format for that country.

If you do not have a number

Do not invent one. Check whether your country or business type requires it, and read Meta's help page for your region.
