Leave payment methods in place while an ad account appeal is pending

While a review is open on a disabled or restricted ad account, leave the payment methods on that account alone unless Meta asks you to update a failed card. Moving the same card to a new ad account can link the accounts. Settling a real unpaid balance on the affected account is fine; reshuffling cards to keep spending elsewhere is not.

Safe moves

  1. Pay any balance due on the affected ad account.
  2. Remove a card that keeps failing after you have a working method on the same account, if billing allows it.
  3. Download invoices and note the last four digits of each method.
  4. Keep Account Quality open so you see whether the review is still pending.

Moves that add risk

What still works

Other ad accounts with no restriction can keep their own payment methods. Check each asset in Account Quality first. Check each asset in Account Quality and leave shared cards stable until the review ends.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

The appeal is for the portfolio, not the ad account. Same rule?

Yes. Leave shared cards stable until the portfolio review ends.

A card expired during the wait. Can I replace it?

Yes, on the same account, with a method the business owns.

Who decides?

Meta decides the review. Clean billing removes one common blocker.
