Ads stuck in review after a failed payment you already paid

Once a failed charge is settled, new ads usually go back to normal review, but some stay held. Check that the balance shows as paid in Billing and payments, that no old card is still failing in the background, and that nothing is restricted in Account Quality. If all three are clean, contact support from Business Support Home with the receipt and the ad account ID.

Check in this order

  1. Billing and payments: the failed charge shows as paid and no balance is due.
  2. Payment methods: remove any old card that still fails, so Meta does not retry it.
  3. Account Quality: no restriction on the ad account, the business portfolio or your profile.
  4. Ads Manager: the ad says In review, not Rejected or Not delivering.
  5. Business Support Home: open a chat or a request if the hold stays.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

How long do ads normally stay in review?

Meta says most ads are reviewed within 24 hours, though some take longer. Days past that, after a payment problem, is worth raising with support.

Should I run the ads from a new ad account?

Not while the old one has payment trouble. A new account with the same people and card can inherit the same hold.

The payment does not show at all

See payment made but not showing in billing.
