Billing threshold reached and the ad account is restricted

Ad accounts are charged when spending reaches a threshold or on a set date. If a charge at the threshold fails, the account can be limited until it is paid. Look at the amount due, the payment method and the date of the failed charge.

How to read it

Fix the payment

  1. Open payment activity and find the failed charge.
  2. Update or replace the method if needed.
  3. Pay the balance if the button is offered.
  4. Wait for the status to refresh, then check Account Quality.

If the status does not change

Request a review and attach the payment confirmation. Say which charge failed and that it is now settled.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can I raise the threshold?

Meta sets thresholds from account history. You can see yours in billing.

Does paying clear the restriction at once?

Not always. The status can take time to refresh. Check the notice.

Is this the same as a spending limit?

No. A spending limit is one you set. A threshold is one Meta uses to charge.
