Three moves after an ad account is disabled, before you touch a new account

Before you create or borrow another ad account, do three things: save the notice and the reason, secure the people and payment methods on the disabled account, and send one review request on that account. A new account does not clear the old one, and Meta can link people, cards, devices and businesses across accounts.

Move 1: save the facts

  1. Screenshot Account Quality and Business Support Home for the disabled ad account.
  2. Write down the ad account ID, the business portfolio ID and the exact reason shown.
  3. Download invoices and a report of what was running.

Move 2: secure people and payment

  1. Check every admin profile for unknown logins and turn on two-factor with an app.
  2. Remove unknown people, partners and apps from the portfolio.
  3. Settle any unpaid balance and remove cards that keep failing.

Move 3: one review on the right asset

  1. Request a review once from Account Quality on the disabled ad account, or on the portfolio if that is what the notice names.
  2. Keep the note short and factual.
  3. Wait for the answer before you change structure.

Why a new account waits

A new ad account that shares admins, payment methods or business details with a disabled one is a common way a restriction spreads. See should you open a new ad account while one is disabled.

Can another admin open a new account for me?

If it shares the same people or card, it can still be limited.
