Ad account restricted after bulk edits or automation

A burst of edits, duplicated campaigns or many new ads created at once, especially on a new account or through a third-party tool, can look unusual to Meta's systems. Stop making changes, check Account Quality for the reason and request a review. Then build back slowly from Ads Manager.

Patterns that draw attention

Steps

  1. Pause any tool or script that edits the account.
  2. Remove app access you do not use in Business settings, under Integrations.
  3. Check Account Quality and request a review.
  4. Write one short note: what changed and why.
  5. After the account is cleared, make changes in small batches.

While you wait

Do not delete campaigns or create a new ad account. Keep the history in place for the review.

Official sources

Meta changes its help pages, menus and forms often. Follow the wording on your own screen and the current Help Center. Ads Account Recovery is an independent service and is not affiliated with Meta.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Are AI ad tools against the rules?

Meta has its own AI features in Ads Manager. Third-party tools need access you approved. The ads still have to follow the Advertising Standards.

How long should I wait after the review?

Meta does not publish a timeline. Watch Account Quality for the result.

Will a new account avoid this?

A new account with the same pattern is likely to meet the same checks.
